About Shingle
Shingle shows Dallas–Fort Worth homeowners what a new roof costs and which roofers work near them. We use city permit records, not ads or star ratings.
Why we built it
Roof quotes for the same house can be far apart, and it's hard to know what's normal. Cities already record what roofers charge, on permits. We collected 46,561 of them from 28 DFW cities, filed since Jan. 2021, and put them in one place.
Type your address and you get a fair price range for your roof, from jobs on homes like yours. You can see which roofers did those jobs. If you want quotes, you pick up to 3 roofers, or let us pick 3, and only they get your request. They call or text you to set up a look.

What we don't do
- We don't do roof work or inspect roofs.
- We don't handle insurance claims.
- We don't vouch for any roofer. We report what the public records show.
- We don't sell your information.
How to reach us
Our contact email is coming soon. Until then, roofers can reach us through the For roofers page.
