Fort Worth, Arlington and Southlake come first. The Fort Worth area list and bid requests use those three cities. We order the list by each roofer's share of the re-roof permits filed in each city in the last 12 months, added up, so each city counts the same. A plain count would favor Arlington roofers: Arlington files a permit for every re-roof (1,521 in its last 12 months), while Fort Worth files one only when wood is replaced (295).
Not all of their jobs. Fort Worth asks for a permit only when some of the wood under the shingles is replaced, so a shingles-only job there may have none. About 6 in 10 Fort Worth permits since 2021 include new wood. Our Arlington permit records start in April 2025, and 1,521 of its 1,542 re-roof permits are from the last 12 months. We match permits to a company by the name written on the permit. If a permit here isn't theirs, the roofer can ask us to fix it.

What this record can't tell you
Permits don't show how well a roofer works, whether they finish jobs on time, how they treat customers, or whether they carry insurance. We don't vouch for any roofer.
